Roche successfully replaced ALL water-cooled chillers at our manufacturing plant in Tuas Biomedical Park with HCFO refrigerant that has very LOW Global Warming Potential (GWP) = 1 – 4. The journey to replace all Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFC) and Hydrofluorocarbons (HFC) refrigerants, which have VERY HIGH GWP in our chillers began in 2019 and ended in August 2021.
