Digitalization – Industry 4.0
Sanofi is investing in digital transformation, with the aim to transform the manufacturing process into a digitalized paperless Smart Factory.
One key initiative in preparation for Smart Factory operation at a local site is to deploy a SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) application to replace an existing PLC-based system. In the future, gathering of data in real-time from remote locations, will be made possible in order for better controlling of equipment and conditions.
